Modern slavery is a serious and increasing risk. It’s often hidden in plain sight and can affect any industry – from transport and logistics to construction, warehousing, facilities and more. Our new toolbox talk supports company modern slavery policies and provides a clear, practical briefing that can be delivered to drivers, contractors, site staff or office teams.

The toolbox talk explains what modern slavery is, why it matters, and what to look out for – including signs of exploitation, control or coercion. It also sets out simple steps to take if someone has concerns, including the Modern Slavery Helpline and when to escalate internally.

We’ve designed the content to be sector agnostic, so it works just as well in a depot, a site cabin or a back office. It’s designed for digital deployment via The Handbook Group app, but can also be used in face-to-face briefings as part of routine communications or staff induction.

This toolbox talk supports a growing number of our customers who are strengthening their due diligence across supply chains, as required by the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The modern slavery toolbox talk is now live across all our handbook types.
