A proudly independent team, we’re passionate about helping companies communicate with their people. Our single aim is to give our customers the best experience possible.

Founded by a husband-and-wife duo, we’re now a small, but highly effective team of sector specialists, communicators and skilled developers. Our tech is all our own and we’re fiercely proud of it.

We began as The Driver Handbook in 2018 and since then we’ve grown, with our customers, into The Handbook Group. Whilst people originally came to us for our transport knowledge, we quickly realised we could be much more than just a handbook for drivers. Whilst our product focus has changed, what hasn’t, is our links with our customers. They guide everything we do and we make sure we listen.

Driven by experience

Having worked in the transport and logistics sectors ourselves, we understand our customers’ issues and needs. We have been drivers, transport managers, subject matter experts, communications teams and developers. And since 2018 we’ve been trusted by hundreds of
companies across the UK to help digitise their existing paper-based systems and deliver improved communications.


We like to think that what sets us apart, is our combination of industry
knowledge and experience and what we do to set ourselves apart from our competitors – our comprehensive solution that’s backed by excellent customer support, no matter how big or small a customer; everyone’s treated the same way.

They’re a completely different company – if you need help you get an answer within minutes. The system combined with the unique level of service and support offered by the team, is like a breath of fresh air and I wish we’d signed up sooner.

Our timeline

April 2018
The Driver Handbook Limited is established

Born from a long-harboured idea to communicate digitally with drivers, no matter where or when, the original version of our software was developed and launched

April 2020

All development capabilities were brought in-house, to give us full control of our solutions. We then began work on Version 2 of our system

January 2021

Post-pandemic people needed new ways of working. Our customer base grew rapidly

July 2025

We launched the long-planned Version 3 of our system and became The Handbook Group.

We saw an opportunity to do things differently.

Glen and Karen Davies established The Driver Handbook in 2018 with the idea that drivers and transport managers needed a better way to access all the different types of information required by their jobs. Their vision was to bring driver communications into the 21st century, even if it was a bit late!
Fast forward to today and we’ve applied the same rationale to other roles in the sector – we always said we were much more than just a driver handbook.
