The Handbook Group platform now includes The Learning Zone, giving operators a new way to deliver digital learning to their drivers through our app.

The Learning Zone has been developed to make eLearning easier to deliver and manage, with ready-made modules, alongside the flexibility for operators to create and deliver their own digital learning.

The Learning Zone launches with 12 ready-made modules covering a range of topics relevant to drivers and transport operators. The modules are designed to be completed in bite-sized sessions, enabling drivers to work through each module at their own pace before completing a knowledge-check quiz. The system automatically applies a minimum pass mark and, when a driver passes, generates a certificate for the completed module. Progress and completion are recorded within the platform, giving operators a clear record of the training their drivers have completed.

Your training, your way

The Learning Zone goes beyond the modules we provide, giving operators the flexibility to add bespoke training alongside them; or create their own modules and use the Learning Zone entirely for their own content.

The module builder allows operators to create training using videos, images, quizzes, documents and links, making it possible to use the Learning Zone for everything from general driver training to site-specific inductions and for sector-specific requirements.

A new option for FORS operators

For FORS operators, the Learning Zone represents a much more significant change.

We are the first (and currently the only) provider to offer FORS Approved eLearning.

The Learning Zone is designed to make the whole process straightforward for operators. All 12 modules are FORS Approved, helping operators meet professional development requirements, while providing a choice of modules so drivers can cover different topics, rather than repeating the same information each year.

Our FORS Approved modules can be updated as requirements change, keeping the content current, while completion records are transferred directly to FORS Online through an API. This means operators don’t need to manually update their FORS dashboard when drivers complete their eLearning.

FORS operators can now choose who provides their eLearning, with the training, assessment, certification and reporting all managed through The Handbook Group platform.

The Learning Zone is available now, giving operators more flexibility in how they deliver training to their drivers – and giving FORS operators, for the first time, a choice of provider for their approved eLearning.
